Terms of service
Last updated: 25 June 2026
These terms govern access to and use of Saluto, a digital business card platform for brands and teams. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the service, you declare that you have read, understood and accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Acceptance and scope
These terms form an agreement between you (and, where applicable, the organisation you represent) and Saluto. They apply to all access to and use of the website, the admin area and the public profiles. If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you declare that you have authority to bind it.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these terms:
- "Service" is the Saluto platform and its features.
- "Account" is the registration that lets you access the service.
- "Organisation" is the entity that manages brands, members and profiles.
- "Content" is all information you publish or upload to the service.
- "Public profile" is the page accessible by link and QR code.
- "Template" is a card design created in the builder, which may be private to the organisation or, once approved, public.
3. Eligibility and accounts
When creating and keeping an account, you agree to:
- Provide truthful, accurate and up-to-date information.
- Keep your credentials secure and confidential.
- Be responsible for all activity carried out under your account.
- Notify us without delay of any unauthorised use.
4. How the service works
Saluto lets you create and manage public profiles, organised by brand and member, from an admin area, and includes tools such as the card builder and physical card generation. Features may evolve, be added or be discontinued over time, and some may depend on the subscribed plan. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
5. Plans, subscriptions and payments
Some features require a paid plan. The available plans, limits and features, as well as the prices applicable to your region, are shown at the time of subscription. The subscription is per organisation.
Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider; by subscribing, you also accept that provider's terms. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the prevailing price, until they are cancelled.
You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for and, as a rule, does not entitle you to a refund of ongoing periods, except where required by law. Prices may be updated, with reasonable prior notice, applying to subsequent renewals. Applicable taxes may be added to the prices. Failure to pay may lead to the suspension or limitation of paid features.
6. Acceptable use
When using the service, you agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent or harmful purposes.
- Publish defamatory, offensive or discriminatory content, or content that infringes third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your relationship with third parties.
- Attempt to bypass security mechanisms, access other accounts' data, or probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the service without authorisation.
- Overload, disrupt or interfere with the service infrastructure, including sending automated, massive requests.
- Collect other users' data without a legal basis or consent.
7. Your content and the licence you grant
You retain ownership of the content you publish. So that we can provide the service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content within the service, namely on public profiles and in the admin preview. This licence ends when you remove the content, except for temporary technical backups.
The card builder lets you create templates. By default, the templates you create are private to your organisation. If you choose to make a template public, you submit it for review: Saluto may approve, reject or remove it and, once approved, that template may become available for use by other users of the platform. By submitting a template for publication, you declare that you hold the necessary rights to all of its elements and grant, for that purpose, the licence set out in this clause.
You are solely responsible for the content you publish and for ensuring you have the necessary rights to do so.
8. Saluto's intellectual property
The service, including the software, design, the Saluto brand and its elements, is owned by Saluto or its licensors and is protected by law. You acquire no rights over these elements beyond the use permitted by these terms.
9. Public profiles and responsibility for content
Published profiles are public and may be indexed by search engines. The organisation and its administrators are responsible for the content of their members' profiles and for keeping it accurate and lawful. You can deactivate a member at any time to take the corresponding profile offline immediately.
10. Custom domains
By connecting a custom domain, you declare that you hold the rights to that domain. Verification and DNS configuration are your responsibility. We may suspend a domain connection in case of misuse or a dispute over its ownership.
11. Privacy and data
The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy policy, which forms an integral part of these terms. By using the service, you acknowledge that processing.
12. Availability and changes to the service
We strive to keep the service available and reliable, but there may be interruptions for maintenance, updates or causes beyond our control. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, aiming to minimise the impact on you.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted quality or freedom from errors.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saluto is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for loss of data, revenue or business opportunities, arising from the use of or inability to use the service.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Saluto harmless from any claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable fees) arising from the content you publish or from your breach of these terms or of third-party rights.
16. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, pose a risk to the service or to third parties, or where required by law. After termination, you lose access to the service, without prejudice to the provisions that, by their nature, remain in force.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The revised version will be published on this page, with the last updated date. Continued use after the changes take effect implies your acceptance.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Angola. Disputes not resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.
19. General provisions
If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force. Our tolerance of any breach does not constitute a waiver. These terms, together with the Privacy policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Saluto regarding the service.
