What a digital business card is

It is a professional profile that lives online and is shared in one gesture, by QR code or link. Whoever receives it saves your contact without installing anything, and the profile stays current long after it was shared.

The problem with paper

A paper card is out of date the moment a number, a job title or a person changes. The box you just had printed goes in the bin, and everyone holding the old card keeps the wrong information with no way to fix it.

Then there is what nobody measures: the cards lost in a wallet, the ones never typed into a phone, and the ones still circulating with your logo months after that person left.

How a digital card works

Instead of printing information, you publish a profile. Each person gets their own address and a QR code that opens it. Swapping contacts becomes: point the camera, tap, save.

  • The profile opens in the browser, with no app on either side.
  • One button saves the contact straight to the phone's address book.
  • Update the profile and everyone who already has your QR sees the new version.
  • The QR works on a printed card, in an email signature or on your phone screen.

What a good digital card needs

A page with your name on it is not enough. What sets a working digital card apart is what happens after the first handshake.

  • Save the contact in one tap, with nobody typing anything.
  • The brand applied, colour and logo, not a generic template.
  • A QR you can actually print, at card, badge or window resolution.
  • Control over who is live: deactivating someone takes the profile down at once.
  • Numbers: how often the profile was viewed and how many contacts were saved.

How to create yours

With Saluto it takes three steps, and the first profile is free. Create your brand with its colour and logo, add your people, and each one gets a profile and a QR code. From there you just share it.

If you still like a card in the hand, you do not have to choose: design the physical card with the QR on it and export a print-ready PDF. The paper stays in the wallet, the information stays current.

Frequently asked questions

Does the person receiving it need an app?

No. The profile opens in the phone's browser and the contact is saved with one tap. Neither side installs anything.

Does it replace the paper card?

It can, but it does not have to. Many people keep a printed card with a QR code that opens the digital profile: the paper is still a gesture, and the information behind it stays current.

Can I change my details after sharing the QR?

Yes, and that is the point. The QR points at the profile, not at the data. Change your number in the dashboard and everyone holding your QR sees the new one, with nothing reprinted.

How much does it cost?

With Saluto the first public profile with a QR code is free. Paid plans remove Saluto branding, add a custom domain and manage teams.
